Incoming Voicemail:
“Vincent! You never answer your phone anymore! I know you’re ass is in town too. Come visit me and you’re siblings, it’s lonesome here without you, you know? You’re off galvanting the globe while we’re stuck here in Nashville. Also, bring some tequila and we’ll make margaritas. See you soon! Love, Mom.”
Outgoing Voicemail:
“Relax mom, I was planning to come by. You know I can’t come to town without visiting you all. How can you be lonely though? I know Cal and sis must be driving you fuckin nuts, haha. Alright I’ll bring the tequila if you have dinner going and by dinner I don’t mean a bottle of rum. If anything, jack is good. Tell sis to straighten up the house a little and tell Cal to do his homework. I know he’s fuckin playin those video games again. But yeah, I’ll be home soon. Love ya, Vin”
Magazine Article
Once again, professional surfer Vince Oceano steals the lime light with his infamous reputation. He was last seen in Brazil participating in a drunken barfight with a local. Rumor has it that Vince grabbed the guy by the back of the shirt and gave him a left hook for no reason at all. All the surfer had to say was that “I answer to no one but me,”. Whether or not there was a reason, Vincent has lost a sponsorship and his others are questioning him as well. Vin doesn’t seem all that bothered by this however…
Interview
“Vince? Well, he’s technically not my brother, but I’ve always considered him a blood relative. Magazines and media can bash him all they want, but he has a good heart. Sure he can be an asshole and he’s dumber than a bag of rocks, but I love him all the same. The three of us were adopted, but our parents treated us as if we were their own. Dad was a great man and took great care of us. Mom was a wreck when he died and so was Vince. Mom had never been the most…conventional of mothers. She likes to drink and have a good time, which sucks for me, considering I take care of Calvin and her most of the time. Vince always takes good care of us when he’s home though, just like dad would. He’s got a good heart and no matter how often he fights or causes drama, I’ll always know he’s here for us when ever we need it…” - - Vin’s Sister
Journal Entry
“Vin’s back in town…and it’s absolutely killing me inside. I just dunno what to do with myself anymore. I can’t help but remember all the fun we had everytime I see him, but I know it’ll never work. He’s just not the commitment type, not to mention he spends too much time taking care of his family and career than to take care of me. I dunno how he does it with that fuck up mother of his. It’s sad, but really. What mother smokes weed with her son, while her daughter does all the chores? I question why Vince lets her smoke, let alone smokes with her, but he does take good care of them. I really wish we could have had something real though. He was much sweeter to me than he made himself out to be. Shh, don’t tell anyone though, he’ll throw a fit, haha. It makes me smile just thinking of him squirming, but…I’ve got to let go. It’s now or never,” - - old fling
Letter
Dear Cal;
I’m sorry I had to leave again. You know how it is, the ocean was calling me. I know its hard, but you need to help sis look after mom. She likes to have too much fun, haha. Make sure you’re doing you’re school work and focus on getting good grades. You’re gonna need it for when you’re older. Don’t give sis too hard of a time either. Not everyone can be as awesome as me. Not to mention, she loves you and just wants to help. I know the magazines and tv are gonna say some nasty things about me. Some are true and some aren’t, but if I hear about you getting into another fist fight, I’m kicking your ass personally. You got that? Good. Now I gotta go. Don’t forget what I said about mom and sis.
Love, Vince
