Kirsten Marie Montez was born to Jessica and Brian Montez on December 12 at 5:45 am weighing 7 pounds and 5 ounces. She was their baby girl and for them, they meant to give her the world and they plan on doing just that. They lived right outside Nashville, Tennessee and Kirsten was lived in the country life with a taste of the city only 20 minutes away.
Kirsten at the age of five years old asked her mom if she could take dance classes. After all she wanted to be a ballerina princess so you had to take ballet in order to do that. So her mom signed her up for classes, and to no one's surprise she loved it. She loved wearing cute girl outfits and the grace and balance she learnt along the way. Her first recital at five years old was a Christmas dance of all these different songs from Christmas. Obviously she wasn't perfect at five and all of them messed up, but she loved every minute of it. She would definitely be coming back for another year.
Kirsten grew up into a blonde hair beauty and her love for dance only increased. She took extra classes and in this town she danced to pop, but loved country. Ballet was the beautiful of the many classes she was taking, but she loved the upbeat of jazz. Tap, well she wasn't the greatest at it, and she didn't like it the best but she did it, because it was dance and she loved it. At 11 years old she was asked to dance the lead in the spring dance they were having, and Kirsten cried. She was overwhelmed that she was chosen.
Dance soon consumed her life, between recitals, practices, and the extra classes she was taking from it, she made friends in her dance class. Dance helped her not be so shy around people, and she entered high school with confidence. Choir, something she had always loved doing for church and so she entered high school doing it as well. She was busy with dance but played sports, volleyball was the sport for this country dancing singing girl. The problems started when she was in a car accident the summer her freshman year and broke her leg. Luckily it wasn't too terrible a break and that was all she suffered, the other driver, who was drunk, walked away without a scratch, and the third car involved, the driver didn't make it out alive. So Kirsten considered herself lucky and watched from the side while dance recitals, and practices went on.
The year she got her first kiss, from an amazing boy by the named of Jesse. He treated her so sweet, and she felt like she was a princess. All her values and views on life is what broke them up. Kirsten didn't handle peer pressure well and she didn't smoke, drink, and she was hell bent on waiting until marriage to have intercourse the first time. She had seen plenty of people where she did volunteer work on weekends come in unmarried, teenage moms and while she sympathized with them, she didn't want to be like them. They struggled and many of them gave up high school and dropped out. Jesse well he wanted to do it, and when she refused time and time again he broke up with her. Telling her he loved her wasn't enough for her, and she was a bit heart broken.
Recovering from her broken heart she kept on with her dance, now also teaching five year olds to dance, and being reminded a little of herself at that age. She loved it but her grades started slipping a bit from her always being so tired when she came home from volleyball, dance, and hanging out with friends. Math, her worst subject by far, slipped to C level and she wanted to get all A's and B's. Getting a tutor she finally got it up but barely, it all came down to her final.
Senior year, senior trip well lets just say it was completely amazing. They went to California, and Kirsten shined that year, getting dance honors, a solo in choir, and an amazing senior trip. However graduation meant Kirsten had to leave the high school, and a place she loved so much. She grew to love all the people in the school and through many activities around the school she knew almost all the students names or at least tried to. She was a kind girl never would hurt a fly.
Ah graduation, it came, Kirsten accepted her diploma and tears were running down her face, and luckily Kirsten remembered to wear waterproof mascara. Her parents were so proud of her, and all the little kids Kirsten had taught to dance presented her at her open house with a great big card they made themselves and all signed. The card it on display in her dorm room now, and she thinks about all the girls every day. She still dances, and goes to the gym to work out and stay in shape and hopes to find a dance place at the university. She is majoring in childcare after a hard decision not to attend Juliard and major in dance. Kirsten wanted to help people so she still plans on volunteering, in anyway that she can.
