things you should know about lucie:
- obviously she doesn't like being called lucille; so stick with lucie. or, for those who know her better, scout, and avoid having a boot to the face. - she has a brother, noah, but she became a little estranged from him when he drunkenly hit on her and claimed he didn't remember. she tries to keep up with him, even if he doesn't. - lucie likes losing things. not literally; she just seems to lose stuff ... a lot. - she doesn't make enough money to buy all the shoes she does, but she returns half of them anyway. - she's had a crush on lucius malfoy since she was a kid. ... not that it's very important. - originally lucie was, for lack of a better term, destined to be on ~broadway, but she had to forget it once her parents kicked her out of the house. - sugary stuff makes her kinda sleepy.
personality:
if you asked her, lucie would tell you she's average. she really isn't a bitch. she isn't super nice. she's just a bit moody. the moodiness is fed by friends always forgetting about her or leaving her because they can't deal with her nice-one-second-snappy-the-next attitude. a lot of the time, she's all easy going and joking, but sometimes ... scout admits, she isn't easy to deal with. she becomes a tad unreasonable. set in her ways and definitely not about to change them, and if you start some debate over opinions with her, don't expect her to appreciate it when you don't agree with her opinion. she likes being right, she likes being agreed with, all of that - and it can, at times, make lucie stubborn and simply a pain in one's ass. but at others, she's making stupid comments or just sitting and doing absolutely nothing, really easygoing and kind. she makes a lot of bad puns, and she sucks at insulting people, no matter the situation. she's a flirtyflirt too - a lot of the time what she calls having a natural charm can turn into seriously misleading people. of course scout doesn't mean to disappoint anyone, you just have to be prepared for such things. don't take any of it too seriously. still, lucie values the friends she can keep; the ones that stick with her. and if you're one of them, she's gonna be loyal until the day she dies. if things get fucked up, she will be the first to ... try to fix it. and yep, that doesn't always work out the way it's planned, either. her brother, for instance. her fixing can't really change things, it just seems to make stuff worse.
letter to friend, two years ago:
you should know how i hate to do this, but ... i can't really go and run off to new york right now. i told you, i said that my parents have been such hardasses lately. they don't want me moving away. they flipped out when i asked and when i said i was already packing. i want it, too, but it can't happen now, i guess ... maybe later. they want me out anyway; they said they're gonna kick me out. maybe if i stay here awhile, things will settle down and i can find you there. please, please don't be upset. it's not what i wanted to happen, you know that. i just don't want what's left of my parent's respect to go out the fucking window. and if i can't pay for the trip out there, they definitely won't. but seriously, don't hate me when you read this, okay? i'll start planning right now for the whole move-out-in-a-few-years thing once i'm on my own.
