so let's start with introductions. what's your name?

"i was born natalia aaliyah michales. most people call me nat, but i don't like it, it reminds me of those gnat things that go around biting you, so i either go with talia or lia, whichever is easiest. but only to my friends and family, everyone else has to call me natalia."

okay then natalia, how old are you?

"seventeen. i was born on the twenty third of june, not so long after my twin."

oh, you have a twin? that's interesting, what's his name and do you get on well?

"his name's nolan, and yes, we do get on really well. sure, we have our occasional squabbles, but that's perfectly understandable isn't it? he's a great brother, but all of my siblings are fantastic. we're all there for each other."

you have other siblings? what's they're names?

"yes, i have seven blood related siblings, although nolan is my only full sibling, the others are connected by my father. then there's brooklyn and sydney who i think of as sisters, but we aren't actually blood relatives. we're a large family, with seventeen heads under one roof. it's hectic, but we're all used to it. london's the oldest, and me and her get on really well. sure, she's the bossy older sister at times, but she's also a great friend and such a good sister. i really admire her, she could have left us, but she cares for us. placing all her wages into feeding us and making sure the younger ones can have a good life when they grow up. she's like our mother, which is weird because she's only three years older than me. while i'd hate to be in her position, i really admire her for putting up with it and doing what she does. me, nolan and naomi are all the same age, and for a while we were referred too as triplets due to trying to hide dad's affair. naomi's great though, she's the really smart one out of us all. then there's parker, who's sixteen and although he's not the oldest boy, he took on those responsibilities a lot better than nolan did. we can rely on him, just like we can rely on london, plus he's such a sweetie. then we have the three 'littlies' as i like to call them, liam, adrian and gabriella who we also look after. i said it was a big family didn't i?"

it is a big family, but you said there's seventeen of you altogether, though you've only mentioned ten, including yourself.

"ah, yes. there's all the kids too. our kids. okay, i know that only one of us is a legal adult, but we still had kids. there's london's, ryder, teagan and zakarie, who are all adorable. nolan's son, maddox and brooklyn's baby, starlite. then there's my two twins, skylar and daisy."

you have two children? care to tell us a little bit more about them?

"yes, and they mean the absolute world to me. sure, i was stupid to fall pregnant, but i don't regret it at all. they are the best thing that's happened to me and i wouldn't trade them for the world. they're... attached to each other, but they're both beautiful none the less. skylar's a complete troublemaker while daisy's patient. they're one years old now."

is they're father still around?

"no, he took off. i didn't want him there anyway."

are you with anyone else at the moment then?

"oh, no. of course not! i don't really do dating anymore. just the odd... fun night."

so, what are you currently doing with your life?

"at the moment, i'm finishing my last year in high school as a senior. i considered dropping out, but i knew it was best to continue and though i'm not exactly the cleverest of people there, hopefully it'll help me do something with my life. i had trouble when i got pregnant and the twins were born, but i managed to keep up with most of it. i like it there, i always have. it's a way to escape the chaos of home and get out into the real world, to talk to people who i don't live with. i've made a lot of friends there too - i guess you could call me one of the popular kids. as well as that, i do a little modeling on the side. it's not much, and it's mostly shoots of me wearing barely anything, but it gets us some money that i can try to put towards food and toys for the family (despite london's protests). i'm not sure if i want to go to university or anything yet though, i'll have to see what i feel like when school ends."

i notice you've talked a lot about your siblings, but not your actual parents. would you mind telling us a little bit about them?

"my parents are unimportant. my mother - jessica, abandoned us with our father when we were born, and i haven't seen or heard from her since. i don't think of her as my mother at all. as for my father? cameron was a complete ass who slept around, treated us badly, and was a mean drunk. i'm glad he took off, we don't have to deal with him anymore."

so you've talked a lot about your past, but not a lot about you as a person. how would others describe you?

"hmm... i would probably say outgoing, sarcastic and friendly. maybe also slipping proud or stubborn in there. i am very outgoing, i don't like to hide behind people and i prefer to let my voice be heard, but at the same time i try not to be too intimidating. i'll be friends with anyone who will ask, for i don't like to hold things against people, although if someone turns on me they've just started a full blown out war. getting on the bad side of me is not a good thing, but if we start off on the right foot, i've been told i make a good, caring friend."

can you tell us some of the things you like?

"apart from my family and kids, who are obviously my favorite things in the world, there's quite a few things i like. it's hard to name them all actually, i guess i don't really think a lot about what i like and make a huge list of it. i like chocolate, the smell of freshly mown grass, being outside in the fresh air with the wind in your hair, running, rain, music, dancing, looking pretty, compliments and honesty. that's really only the beginning of the list, i could go on for a long time, but that would involve a lot of thinking."

and dislike?

people who state the obvious, cheaters, liars, those who abandon you, those you can't rely on - all those kinds of people, you get the idea i'm sure. i also hate a lack of personal space, which would be the only problem with my family. we live all squashed up that there's barely room to breath. i wish we could win the lottery sometime so we could by a mansion or something and have enough space for us all to live together. i hate elevators, they scare me. again, lots of things that i dislike, but they're mostly all petty things that don't matter all that much.

"probably the pretty reckless. i love that style of music."
